Les rapides écoutes, semaine 16
Ah le printemps… les projets fleurissent dans mes e-mails et ma boite aux lettres. Et c’est bien sur celui d’un ami qui aura retenu le plus mon attention. Un petit six titres que j’attendais depuis quelques mois…
Toujours par ordre décroissant d’intérêt, voici mes (quelques) écoutes de la semaine… Peu d’écoutes cette semaine, mais que des bonnes.
Ben Mazué – La règle des 3 unités
Y’a des trucs que t’aime d’avance, parce que tu sais que ça va être bien. C’est généralement le cas avec Ben Mazué. Cet entre deux albums est d’une sincérité étonnante. On y sent les mains de Benjamin qui ont tripoté des boutons et des mots. On y sent la personnalité de Benjamin qui s’exprime sur des titres de l’ancien album sorti il y a quelques mois comme pour dire : “Comme ça c’est plus moins”. Loin des touches variétés de son premier album, le revoici avec si titres épurés fait à la maison avec des petits doigts sincères qui ont muri pendant cette année passée en major.
C’est mon coup de cœur de la semaine. Évidemment.

Lisa Hannigan – Passenger
Qu’il est beau ce moment où tu découvres un truc alors que tu t’y attends pas… Visiblement, j’étais le dernier à ne pas savoir qui était Lisa Hannigan et à ne pas connaitre sa douce voix agréablement posée sur des mélodies folks frétillantes (il est cool cet adjectif, il m’est venu comme ça…).
Tokyo/Overtones – The Underground Karaoke
Je ne sais pas trop depuis combien de temps il était là, mais cet album était là, sur mon micro onde… Un matin je l’ai mis dans mon sac, et je l’ai écouté. Sans regret. Portés par des titres magnifiques (dont l’ouverture, 30 Nerves) à la froideur mélodique qui contraste avec la chaleur de la voix, The Underground Karaoke bénéficie malheureuseux d’une production un peu faiblarde mais qui donne envie de voir comment peut évoluer le groupe à la musique flottante qui m’a rappelé dans les groupes lignes Saybia.
