Fnac Live 2018 – Ibeyi, Gaël Faye, Aloïse Sauvage…
Troisième journée du Fnac Live, festival entièrement gratuit à l’Hotel de Ville ! Le Transistor a découvert Yorina, protégée de Dan de The Do, s’est laissé émouvoir par Gaël Faye, est devenu fan de Aloïse Sauvage, et a fini conquis par les jumelles Ibeyi. Demande du reporter : “On sait que le rap est en vogue – d’où une forte présence dans la programmation; mais la prochaine fois, Fnac Live, pourras-tu ajouter une petite dose de rock s’il te plaît ?”
Yorina
Pas étonnant que Dan, moitié masculine de The Do (lire l’interview) soit dans les parages, puisque Yorina est sa nouvelle petite protégée. D’ailleurs certaines de ses intonations ou voix de tête rappellent une certaine Olivia… Mais pour le reste, Yorina défend bien sa propre personnalité : accompagnée par un musicien, elle reste debout derrière son clavier pour un set court dont une certaine dose de spleen se dégage.
Oui, car avec elle, ballades romantiques plutôt sombres et accords mineurs semblent conditionner son set. La prestation est certes un peu statique, mais un charme s’en dégage. Attention, certains titres comme ‘Dry Your Tears‘ peuvent rester dans la tête…

Gaël Faye
Apparemment il était le plus attendu par le public agglutiné sur l’esplanade de la Mairie de Paris, et quand il déboule face à la lumière du soleil couchant, l’ovation est gigantesque. D’ailleurs, le public va rester à donf durant tout le set, et même quand son pote Saul Williams prend le relai pour interpréter un titre.
Gaël Faye ne cesse de clamer ses engagements avec virtuosité et conviction, dans son style plus parlé-chanté que rap. Sans faire à la base partie de notre coeur de cible, cet interprète/poète nous a montré quelque chose d’émouvant et une aura scénique assez bluffante.
Gaël Faye sera en concert le 5 décembre à l’Olympia

Aloïse Sauvage
En voila une qu’il ne fallait pas louper : elle jouait seulement vingt minutes dans le cadre des talents Fnac, mais ça a suffit pour nous scotcher. On avait déjà bien accroché à ses prestations dans de petites salles, mais cette fois, seule en scène devant au moins dix mille spectateurs, son magnétisme agit de plus belle. Elle avoue n’avoir jamais chanté devant une telle audience mais n’a finalement pas l’air impressionnée.
L’actrice/chanteuse propose une vraie performance: danse tout en stretching et gracieuses ondulations (un lien probable est à établir avec ses études en école de cirque), chant souvent slamé et parfois vénère, aura colossale… Entre l’obsédant et aérien ‘Ailleurs higher‘ et le punchy ‘Aphone‘, que le public reprend avec elle, Aloïse Sauvage développe un style unique qui devrait de plus en plus faire parler. Ovation du Fnac Live.

Ibeyi
Les soeurs Diaz font un carton depuis un moment maintenant, et dans le monde entier. Et vu l’audience ce soir, leur public semble être dans la tranche de 7 à 77 ans. Les Ibeyi restent en harmonie totale, et avant tout vocalement. Leur set passe par des phases lentes, soul, avec voix entremêlées, et par des moments plus énergiques où l’une se tord derrière ses claviers tandis que l’autre tape frénétiquement sur son cajon.
Entre mélange de français, anglais ou yoruba, entre messages d’amour et de paix, elles font résonner douceur et puissance sur la parvis de l’Hôtel de Ville. En fait, on allait à ce concert un peu à reculons, mais finalement on est reparti avec une bonne impression.
Ibeyi seront le 16 octobre à l’Olympia
